Neurobiologist and non-fiction author
Prof. Dr. Gerald Hüther
Dr. Gerald Hüther's academic career began with a degree in biology and a doctorate in Leipzig. He subsequently completed his postdoctoral studies at the University of Göttingen. He conducted research at the Max Planck Institute for over two decades and was a professor of neurobiology for many years. Today, he is a neurobiologist, non-fiction author, and managing director of the Academy for Potential Development, as well as one of Germany's best-known brain researchers.
As the author of numerous non-fiction books – including works on dignity, learning processes, and brain development – and as a sought-after speaker and consultant for politics, business, and education, he connects research with practical life experience.
His message: The development of human potential is best achieved in dignified relationships and lived connection.
