Qualified educationalist, music therapist, and family counsellor.

Katharina Saalfrank

Born in Bad Kreuznach in 1971, Katharina Saalfrank is a qualified educator, music therapist, body-oriented trauma therapist, parent and family counsellor, and bestselling author. She studied educational science and music therapy and has been working for many years in her own practice, where she supports families, parents, and educational professionals.

Her focus is on attachment- and relationship-oriented pedagogy: she helps adults to understand childlike behaviour, to shape relationships constructively, and to support emotional processes. Through her KinderBesserVerstehen network, she trains course leaders and consultants for this approach in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.

As an author, she has published „Kindheit ohne Strafen“ (Childhood Without Punishment), among other works, and brings her knowledge into everyday family life and pedagogical work in a practical way. Katharina Saalfrank lives with her husband and four sons in Berlin.
