Dr. Karin Pirc and Lothar Pirc are pioneers and leading experts in Maharishi Ayurveda. Together, in 1992, they founded the Maharishi Ayurveda Private Clinic in Bad Ems, which today is one of the largest and most reputable Ayurvedic facilities in Europe.

Dr. Karin Pirc, born in 1951, is a licensed physician, holds a doctorate in psychology, and is the medical director of the private clinic. She pioneered the field of Ayurveda in Germany, opening one of the country's first Ayurveda centres in 1985, and furthered her training with leading Ayurveda experts in India over many years.

Lothar Pirc, born in 1955, is one of the key pioneers in the dissemination of the Ayurvedic concept in Europe. Under their joint leadership, the clinic developed into a recognized health centre, highly regarded and widely awarded far beyond the borders of Germany.
